Just when we thought 2016 couldn’t get any worse, Wham! singer and wildly successful solo artist George Michael died of heart failure tonight (12/26/2016) at age 53.
A release from George Michael’s family stated:
“It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period,”
Wham! was a popular Pop Music band started by George Michael Andrew Ridgely in 1983. Wham! released such songs as “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” and “Careless Whisper”
The other half of Wham!, Andrew Ridgeley took to Twitter, saying:

Michael began a successful solo career in 1987 and released such hits as “Father Figure.
George Michael’s death is being described by local police as “unexpected but not suspicious”.
